AFC Introduces New Technology on Contact Toasting Belts

May 26, 2015

AFC’s Food Product Group introduces the DuraChef® silicone belt wrapper with Positive Drive™ technology. This new, innovative technology utilizes clips on the back side of the belt to prevent slippage, thus resulting in longer belt life; lower cost of ownership; and ease of installation. AFC has secured this pioneering technology by filing for global Patent Protection, thus protecting its intellectual property.

Kevin Dunlea, Global Technical Sales Manager for AFC’s DuraChef® Business Unit commented, “Our Positive Drive™ technology was driven by consumer demands to reduce overall cost of ownership to their equipment. We met their needs by increasing the belts life cycle while reducing repair and maintenance costs.”

Founded in 1988, AFC, a family-owned and operated company, is a world leader in the manufacturing of high-performance coated and laminated fabrics. AFC sells its products through distributors and OEMs under the trade names DuraFab®, DuraFlow®, DuraSil®, DuraStick®, DuraLam® and DuraChef™. Typical applications for its products are found in industries such as, aerospace, flexible packaging, screen printing, textile, polymer manufacturing, food processing, chemical, electronics and communications.
